{"id":7033,"date":"2026-11-05T20:08:10","date_gmt":"2026-11-05T18:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zakvisnyk.com.ua\/2026\/11\/05\/10-times-the-legal-limit-in-mukachevo-patrol-officers-pulled-over-a-vaz-driver-with-a-blood-alcohol-level-of-over-2-per-mille\/"},"modified":"2026-11-05T20:08:10","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T18:08:10","slug":"10-times-the-legal-limit-in-mukachevo-patrol-officers-pulled-over-a-vaz-driver-with-a-blood-alcohol-level-of-over-2-per-mille","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zakvisnyk.com.ua\/en\/2026\/11\/05\/10-times-the-legal-limit-in-mukachevo-patrol-officers-pulled-over-a-vaz-driver-with-a-blood-alcohol-level-of-over-2-per-mille\/","title":{"rendered":"10 times the legal limit: In Mukachevo, patrol officers pulled over a VAZ driver with a blood alcohol level of over 2 per mille"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A nighttime drive through the city without a seatbelt resulted in two administrative citations and the revocation of the driver\u2019s license.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zakvisnyk.com.ua\/en\/zakarpattia-news\/mukachevo-district\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.zakvisnyk.com.ua\/news-of-transcarpathia\/mukachevo-district\/\">In Mukachevo<\/a>, patrol police officers pulled over a car driver who had gotten behind the wheel while heavily intoxicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was reported by the Patrol Police Department of Zakarpattia Oblast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reason for the stop and breathalyzer test<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a night patrol on Pryashivska Street, a patrol crew noticed a VAZ vehicle whose driver was violating traffic rules\u2014he was not wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After pulling the vehicle over for inspection, the officers detected a strong smell of alcohol on the driver during their conversation and also noted slurred speech and impaired coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man was asked to take a field sobriety test using a certified Drager breathalyzer. The breathalyzer result was staggering\u2014<strong>2.01 per mille<\/strong>, more than 10 times the legal limit (0.2 per mille).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Administrative Liability<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The police immediately removed the intoxicated driver from the vehicle and prepared the relevant administrative documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>a report under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses<\/strong> (driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>a ruling under Part 5 of Article 121 of the Code of Administrative Offenses<\/strong> (violation of the rules regarding the use of seat belts or motorcycle helmets).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For drunk driving, the offender faces a fine of <strong>17<\/strong>,<strong>000 hryvnias<\/strong> and a one-year suspension of his driver\u2019s license.
