His life was cut short by enemy shelling near the village of Shyroke in the Polohy sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vynogradiv community is mourning a grievous and irreparable loss. A young man from Transcarpathia\u2014Serhiy Viktorovych Pigor, a drone operator\u2014is returning to his homeland \u201con a shield,\u201d having given his life in the battles for Ukraine\u2019s sovereignty and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vin-rada.gov.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/vin-rada.gov.ua\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Vynogradiv City Council<\/a> officially announced the defender\u2019s death<a href=\"https:\/\/vin-rada.gov.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/vin-rada.gov.ua\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The young defender\u2019s journey and final battle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serhiy Pigor was born on June 15, 2008. He made the decision to defend his homeland at an exceptionally young age\u2014as soon as he turned 18, he set out to defend the country:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Military specialization:<\/strong> Serhiy mastered one of the most in-demand, high-tech, and at the same time risky specialties in modern warfare\u2014he served as an operator of strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Killed on the front lines:<\/strong> The tragic incident occurred on October 27, 2026. While carrying out a combat mission near the village of Shyroke in the Polohivsky District of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, his unit\u2019s position came under heavy enemy fire. The injuries the young man sustained proved fatal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eternal respect and the community\u2019s grief<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His comrades remember Serhii as a fearless, sincere, and dedicated comrade who, without hesitation, fought alongside his senior comrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We express our deepest condolences to the parents, the entire family, loved ones, friends, and comrades-in-arms of Serhiy Pigor. There are no words that can ease the grief of losing a child who had his whole future ahead of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May the memory of this Hero of Ukraine live on, and may he be eternally honored!
