He organized the sale of methamphetamine from his own home: a 39-year-old dealer of psychotropic substances was arrested in the Uzhhorod region

Officers from the Criminal Police Division of Police Department No. 1 of the Uzhhorod District Police Department put a stop to the illegal activities of a resident of the village of Seredne, who was systematically selling psychotropic substances within the district.

Law enforcement officers determined that the 39-year-old suspect was selling methamphetamine directly from his residence. He would pre-divide and package the drug into individual doses for retail sale. The suspect was apprehended immediately after handing over another batch of illegal substances to a buyer.

During a court-authorized search of the man’s home, investigators discovered and seized a number of pieces of physical evidence:

  • packages and wrappers containing methamphetamine and cannabis;
  • precision electronic scales;
  • cell phones containing evidence of illegal activity;
  • bank cards and cash.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility. Police investigators opened a criminal case under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances). The penalty under this article provides for up to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Procedural oversight is being provided by the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor’s Office.
