Students from the Mukachevo Center for Children’s and Youth Creativity won three prizes among more than 1,200 participants at the “Mystetska Taistra” festival and competition in Lviv.
The talented youth of Transcarpathia continue to make a big splash on the national cultural scene. The “Suzirya” Folk Art Choreographic Ensemble of the Mukachevo Center for Children’s and Youth Creativity, led by Olena Tkach, brilliantly represented the city and the region in the capital of Galicia.
Lviv hosted the large-scale All-Ukrainian choreographic festival-competition “Mystetska Taistra,” which brought together over 1,200 leading folk dancers from across the country.
Three Podium Places for Mukachevo’s Talents
Despite fierce artistic competition, all three age groups of the Mukachevo ensemble impressed the jury with their original choreography, skill, and artistry, winning high honors:
- 1st place — junior age category (children aged 6–8);
- 2nd place — middle age group (participants aged 9–12);
- Second place — senior age category (boys and girls aged 13–15).
In addition to well-deserved awards, trophies, and certificates, the trip to Lviv provided the students with invaluable nationwide stage experience, exciting emotions, and motivation for new creative achievements.
