Alexander Karbovanets, a sniper with the Airborne Assault Battalion (Military Unit A0284), was killed on January 7, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Malaya Loknya in Kursk Oblast. For a long time, he was considered missing in action, but, unfortunately, the worst fears were confirmed.
Before the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr had worked at the Jabil factory for 11 years and was passionate about travel and numismatics. His family and friends remember him as an incredibly kind, sincere, and cheerful person.
Today, on Nezalezhnosti Embankment, family, comrades, and townspeople bid farewell to the hero. The defender was laid to rest on the Hill of Glory.
