What do Transcarpathians think about the latest changes in the government? A survey by “Zakarpats’kyi Visnyk”

Staff reshuffles and government decisions always spark lively discussion among citizens. Our film crew took to the streets to find out how people view the latest changes in the government and what they expect from the newly appointed officials.

Opinions were divided, ranging from cautious optimism to critical and skeptical assessments:

🔹 Hopes for the Better and Digitalization: Some of those surveyed believe that changes are necessary and hope for better results. In particular, respondents noted the importance of modern approaches, digitalization, and mobilization efforts.

🔹 The Need for Renewal and the Fight Against Corruption: Some citizens are convinced that regular personnel rotations are necessary to prevent corruption schemes and stagnation. In their view, only through change can one determine whether the right choice was made.

🔹 Criticism and the “Clique”: Skeptical views are also being voiced. Some believe that the reshuffling of officials resembles a “clique for fun,” and that the results do not change significantly as a result of the reshuffling. They also point out that the performance of those in such positions should be evaluated by experts.

🔹 The Role of Society: According to residents of Transcarpathia, it is society’s active stance, public meetings, and public oversight that serve as the driving force compelling the government to change for the better.
