Roland Zeber: “In these difficult times, we need to do our very best and come together, not drift apart.”

Roland Tseber, a member of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, spoke in an exclusive interview with*Zakarpats’kyi Visnyk*about the results of the latest session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, key decisions, and changes affecting daily life in the region.

In assessing the work of the council members, Roland Tseber noted that the session proceeded smoothly and constructively. All draft resolutions were preliminarily reviewed by committees and discussed within parliamentary factions, and modern technology made it possible to participate in the proceedings online from anywhere.

Among the most important areas of focus and decisions adopted during the session were:

  1. Support for the military and internally displaced persons. Meeting participants emphasized the need to provide comprehensive assistance to the defense forces and internally displaced persons and to focus efforts on achieving common goals.
  2. Establishment of supervisory boards in public institutions. The Regional Council proposed establishing supervisory boards in educational and healthcare institutions. These boards will include representatives of the public, civil society organizations, the council, and the military administration to ensure transparent oversight.
  3. Budgetary changes. Deputies reviewed more than 50 pressing issues and made the necessary amendments to the regional budget regarding the functioning of Transcarpathia under current conditions.

“In my opinion, the meeting went smoothly and constructively. All the issues put to a vote had been discussed in advance… I want to reiterate that in these difficult times, we need to make a special effort to unite, not divide, in order to achieve any results,” — Roland Ceber emphasized in an exclusive comment for“Zakarpats’kyi Visnyk.”
