Four community teams participated in the competition in the Uzhhorod region, and the “Medea” soccer team from Orikhivka won the championship trophy.
A commemorative mini-soccer tournament was held in the village of Nevytske to honor a well-known local sports figure—Ivan Petrovych Brenzovych. In his time, he served as a referee for soccer matches in the Uzhhorod District and Transcarpathian Oblast championships. The competition was a tribute to a man who dedicated his life to the development and promotion of Transcarpathian soccer.
Four teams participated in the sporting event, along with guests of honor, including Yaroslav Hrynchuk, acting chairman of the Onokiv Village Council; Ivan Kovach, head of the Uzhhorod District Football Association; and Vasyl Khmelnytskyi, chairman of the Transcarpathian regional branch of the “Kolos” Sports Society. The event was made especially touching by the presence of the referee’s closest family members—his wife, Tetyana Karlivna, and his daughter, Yana—who warmly greeted the participants and thanked them for keeping the memory of their husband and father alive.
