A soldier from the Chynadiyiv community gave his life on November 5 near the village of Vilne. The fallen soldier is survived by his young wife, child, and parents.
The Chynadiyiv community bows its heads in deep mourning over this irreparable loss. A resident of the village of Bystrytsia—a brave defender of Ukraine, Sergeant Oleksandr Mykhailovych Pankovych, born in 2001—is returning home on a stretcher.
The Chynadiyevo Village Council officially announced the tragic news.
His final battle took place on the Zaporizhzhia front
Oleksandr stood up to defend his homeland, fulfilling his military duty to the Ukrainian people with honor and dignity:
- Killed in action: The sergeant’s life was cut short on November 5, 2026, while repelling enemy attacks near the village of Vilne in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Dreams Cut Short: The soldier was only 25 years old. He had a happy family life ahead of him—raising children, peaceful plans, and professional aspirations—all of which were ruthlessly cut short by the war.
The family’s irreparable grief and the community’s sorrow
The loss of a husband, father, and son was an unspeakable blow to the entire family:
“To his wife, he will forever remain the most beloved husband. To his young child—a dad whose warm hugs will never be felt again. To his parents, he is the son whose return they awaited every minute and for whom they never ceased to pray…” — the village council expressed these words of condolence.
The Chynadiyevo Village Council, fellow villagers from Bystrytsia, and the entire Transcarpathian community extend their deepest condolences to the wife, the orphaned child, the parents, friends, and comrades-in-arms of Oleksandr Pankovych.
May the memory of this Defender of Ukraine be bright and eternal! Heroes never die!
The exact date and time of the funeral procession’s arrival “on the shield” and the burial ceremony in the village of Bystrytsia will be announced at a later date.
